Founded in 1901, Madill is the county seat for Marshall County, Oklahoma. The major attraction for the city is having the popular Lake Texoma as an area playground. Whether you like boating, fishing, waterskiing, wake boarding, or swimming, Lake Texoma is the perfect backdrop for creating fun filled memories for you and your family! Fishing is great in the area! Lake Texoma is known as the "Striper Capital of the World," and is one of a few lakes nationally where the striped bass reproduce naturally. Other popular species in the lake include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, white crappie, black crappie, blue catfish and channel catfish.

 

There are several marinas just minutes away from Madill. Catfish Bay Marina is available with over 300 wet slips, a floating fuel dock, and a full service marine shop. Other nearby marinas are Buncombe Creek, Little Glasses and Willow Springs.
